Clinpal for Patients App

STIRLING, Scotland – 16th Jan 2018 – Today eClinicalHealth announces the general availability of Clinpal for Patients, an App that further assists in engaging patients in a clinical trial.

Doug Bain, Chief Technology Officer, describes why this is key for the patient experience in a clinical trial:

Many of the patients that participate in a clinical trial supported by Clinpal do so on their own devices. This is often more convenient for them over carrying around a 2nd device provided by the trial sponsor.

Clinpal has always provided good mobile support, but we wanted to extend that to provide any patient on any trial the means to easily login and access their own private trial dashboard and to enter their trial data.   The Clinpal for Patients App provides this together with support for login via Pin, fingerprint recognition and even Face ID (on iPhone X) with both Apple IOS as well as Android versions

The Clinpal for Patients app provides trial specific functionality based on the configuration of the Clinpal system including;

  • personalised patient dashboard,
  • reminders (including push notification) for data entry, treatments or visits,
  • rewards/acknowledgements to recognise certain actions carried out by a patient,
  • patient diaries – scheduled or on demand and
  • ePRO questionnaire data entry.

All data entered into the Clinpal for Patient app is automatically available within Clinpal once entered as part of a fully consolidated study database.

Clinpal for Patients on IOS is based on Apple®  ResearchKit™.

Clinpal for Patients is available today on the Apple iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.
